Cousin Birthday Card

This dragon die is very popular with the boys and men I make cards for. A lot of them are keen rugby supporters and proud Welsh men. So using the dragon and Welsh colours is ideal. 

I have matt and layered a 8x8in card with red and green. I have put embossed card down the centre of the card, embossed using Embossalicious picnic plaid folder. I have used satin ribbon at the edges of the embossing. I have die cut two circle using Tonic dies. one in green and one in white. I have cut the dragon using a Sweet Dixie die and glued that too the circles. I have die cut rectangles using Tonic dies and and added a cousin sentiment (First Edition die)  and 14 (Marianne dies) and attached them to the corners of the card.  I have die cut the Happy Birthday with a Tonic die. I completed the card with stars that I have cut with a punch.

Rocking Horse Christmas Card

This is another card I'm going to use as a 1st Christmas card. When people ask for cards that are for the same recipient I need to think of cards that are completely different. 

This is a basic card. Simply matt and layers with embossed card, I have used a Crafts Too embossing folder. I have die cut the rocking horse and presents using Tattered Lace dies. I have then cut scalloped circles using Xcut dies from a nesting set, The white circle will include a personalised sentiment when I have been told the requirements. I have completed the card with flat backed gems.

Baby's 1st Christmas

This is my card for my DT post over at craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper. 

I have used an image and patterned paper I had free with a magazine. I have covered my card with the patterned paper and then embossed some white card with a Crafters Companion Nordic folder and put the embossed white card on the bottom of my card, I have cut the image out with a Tonic rectangular die and then cut the next size in the set using blue card to layer the image. I have glued narrow silk ribbon across the card at the edge of the embossed card. I have printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Sizzix scalloped heart and die cut the next size in the set with the same blue as the rectangle. I have completed my card to blue Tonic Nuvo drops

1st Birthday Card

A first birthday card made for a special little girl. I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with pink card and then patterned paper from a paper pad by First Edition Paper called It's a girl. I have die cut a heart with a Sizzix die and added a Happy Birthday cut with a Tonic die. I have cut a small scalloped circle with a Xcut die and added a 1 today that I had cut with Tattered lace dies. I have die cut the cute deer with a Marianne die. I completed my card with flat backed gems

Joy Christmas Card

I like this card as an alternative to a traditional card. I have used a 6x6in card and covered it with purple card. I have die cut the snowflake elements in white using a Sue Wilson die for the corner and a Memory Box die for the joy. I assembled the card and completed with flat backed pearls.

Wedding card

I have been busy making requests today.

I have made this card for a wedding in red to match the colour scheme of the wedding. The card is a 8x8in easel card. On the top I have matt and layered in red and white. I have die cut the valance, trellis and couple using Cheery Lynn dies. I have cut the trellis in red and white and slightly offset them when sticking them down. I cut the bride in red and then the groom in dark navy. The bottom has been matt and layered with red and white card. I have die cut the scalloped hearts with Sizzix dies and the flourish with a Cheery Lynn die. The white scalloped heart will include a personalised sentiment when I have been given the details. I completed the card with flat backed pearls.

New home card

A new home card for my neighbours. I have matt and layered a scalloped edge card with red and white gingham card and embossed white card. I have used a brick effect embossing folder that I had free with a magazine. I have die cut the door, window, curtains, window box and grass with Memory Box dies. I have cut the tiny flowers with a Cheery Lynn die. The number on the door is the number of the house the family are moving into, I have cut this with a Tattered Lace die. I printed a sentiment and die cut it with a Go Kreate scalloped oval die and die cut the next size in the nesting to layer the sentiment. I completed the card with Tonic Nuvo drops.

I have used an image from a Hunky Dory little book. I have printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Sizzix scalloped heart die. I have used a Spellbinders die to cut the lock and key. I assembled my card and completed it with ribbon and Tonic Nuvo drops

Diamond Wedding Anniversary Card

60 years of marriage! What an achievement! 

I have used the Tattered Lace Essentials book die. I used white and Centura pearl card. I embossed the white pieces with a Crafts Too embossing folder. I have printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Go Kreate die and cut the next size in the nesting set in the pearlised card to layer the sentiment. I used the same dies for the other side with a die cut 60th, using Tattered lace numbers. I have used a Lea ' creatibles die to make flowers. I added flat backed pearls to complete the flowers. I completed my card with gems.

Taking a photograph of this card has proved quite difficult. I was trying to get better light but the flash was catching the pearlised card, apologies!

Anniversary card

This is an A4 card. I have trimmed an A4 piece of gingham card. I then used another sheet of patterned paper from my stash. I trimmed this piece then put a cut in this centre to one side. I then slightly dampened the paper for the paper to curl. I inked around the edges of these pieces before sticking them to my card.

I cut a heart with a Sizzix in acetate and used gel to stick various flowers to the heart. I then attached three pieces of bakers twine to my card and then added the acetate heart. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Sizzix heart die.  To complete my card I used Tonic Nuvo drops

Uncle Birthday Card

This is a birthday made with an image from a Hunky Dory Little Book, I have embossed the blue card with an Embossalicious picnic plaid embossing folder. I have put the image on orange card. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Go Kreate circle die. I also cut an orange circle. I assembled my card and then completed it with stars that I cut using a punch.

Reindeer Christmas card

I had covered this card with Anna Marie spotty card. The reindeer name die cut is by Sizzix. I have cut it in red card and backed it onto white card. I have die cut a reindeer. The white heart (cut with a Sizzix die) will include a personalised sentiment closer to Christmas when I decide who is going to have the card.

Anniversary card

An anniversary card for my husband.

I have folded an A4 piece of red card. I used a Sizzix set of nesting scalloped hearts.

I cut the folded card with the largest heart with the top of the heart over the fold to make a heart shaped card.

I cut another large heart and folded the top of the card which I then attached the heart to. This created an easel card. I cut small hearts to attach to the sides of the top and bottom. The  "Sent from the Heart" sentiment is cut with a Tonic Studios die. I used the smallest heart in the Sizzix set and a Xcut die for the letters for the sentiment on the smaller hearts. I printed sentiments and die cut them with the Sizzix hearts for the bottom of the card. I used the smallest heart for a stopper on the bottom, I attached that with 3d foam. I completed the card with Tonic Nuvo Drops.

College Books

My sons girlfriend asked me to decorate her college books. I have used Sizzix heart dies and a Xcut alphabet die for her name. The flourish and butterfly are Cheery Lynn dies. I covered them with sticky back plastic to make them more hard wearing

Another card with a butterfly for somebody who likes butterflies.

Parchment butterfly card

I have accidentally deleted yesterdays post so here it is again!!

Parchment is something I have always fancied having a go at. I saw the Groovi system and decided to give it a go. This is an 8x8in white card that I have matt and layered with blue card and white embossed card. I have embossed the white card with an Embossalicious folder. I have printed a sentiment and die cut it with a Crafts Too die and cut the next size in the nesting set in blue to mount the sentiment. I have used Groovi plates to do the circles in parchment, the leaf flourishes and butterfly. I have used Pergamano tools to do the edge and piercing. I have used a Pergamano 2 needle tool, semi circle, one needle tool, scissors and glue. I have coloured the leaves and butterfly with Spectrum Noir pencils. I have die cut the scalloped circle with a Xcut die. I completed my card with Tonic Nuvo drops.

Bauble Toppers

I have been making toppers for my Christmas cards today.  I made these baubles using a set of Spellbinders dies and a Creative Expressions embossing folder and Tonic Studios Nuvo drops. I embellished the bauble with a poinsettia cut with a Marianne die with a pearl embellishment.

Iris folding card

I had some lovely patterned papers free with a magazine today. I decided to look on-line for a free pattern for iris folding. I used the patterned paper and plain paper for the folding. I die cut the scalloped circle with a Xcut die and the circle with a Go Kreate die. I used a scalloped 8x8in white card. I completed my card with Tonic Nuvo drops

Little Girl Christmas Card

I have coloured a Bestie image with my Spectrum Noir pencils. I have used a 8x8in white card and matt and layered it with blue and then white card. I matt and layered my image and attached that to my card. I die cut the fence, lamp and snowflakes and printed a sentiment and die cut it with a label

die. I used paper flowers,berries and gems to decorate my card.
