Winter scene

This is my DT post for movingalongwiththetimes. Unfortunately it is a day late because I am experiencing internet problems.

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with blue card and white embossed card. I embossed the white card using a Crafts Too embossing folder. I die cut the scalloped circles using Xcut nesting dies. I die cut the circle with a Go Kreate die and the fancy circle with a Tonic die. I cut the scene elements with Marianne dies. I added yellow card behind the windows of the buildings. I die cut the tags with Sue Wilsons dies and the sentiment with Tattered Lace dies. I completed my card with stars cut with a punch and Tonic Nuvo drops.

Gingerbread house Christmas card

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with red card then red and white gingham card and white embossed card. I have die cut the gingerbread house using a Xcut die set. I have attached a crochet self adhesive ribbon where the gingham and embossed card meet. I then added gingerbread people that I cut with Cheery Lynn dies. I then added my gingerbread house.

Light up Wintery scene card

I have made a scene card with a 8x8in card and put folded pieces on each side of the front to enable me to create depth. I attached layers to each of the folds on the sides. I Marianne die to cut the buildings and lamps in the background. I attached yellow acetate behind the windows, for the light to shine through. I cut the Santa in the sleigh and snowflakes with Cheery Lynn dies. I attached layers to each of the folds on the sides.

I used battery operated lights and taped them throughout my scene, the battery pack is attached to the back of the card.  Then I attached a piece of white card across the bottom of the front and acetate on the top. I die cut the lamps and post box using Brittania dies. I used a Memory Box die to cut the fence, Spellbinders die to cut the Christmas trees, Marianne die to cut the snowman and a Dovecraft die for the sentiment. I have attached snowflakes to the acetate to complete my card.

New Baby card

I have made a 8x8in white easel card. I have matt and layered the top and bottom with pink and white embossed card. I embossed the white card with a Tattered Lace embossing folder, I die cut the vest, bib and duck using Sue Wilson dies. I printed the personalised sentiments and die cut them with a die from The Works. I die cut the large bib using a Marianne die and added the name by using Sue Wilson family name dies and cut into them to have the letters I required. I assembled my card adding ribbon down the centre of the top and the bottom. I attached the large bib with foam pads so it will act as the stopper for the easel. I die cut the flowers using a Cheery Lynn die then attached them to my card. I completed my card with flat backed pearls for the centre of the flowers and for the poppers on the vest.

New Baby Exploding Box

 
 
 
 
 
 

 

 

A personalised exploding box. I have used patterned paper from a Trimcraft It's a girl 8x8in paper pad. They are great for  these projects because the papers co-ordinate so well together. I have made  the boxes from white card. I have more detailed instructions under tutorials. I have covered the front and back of all panels with the patterned paper.  I have printed the personalised sentiment and other details and die cut them. It is  lovely to include them on a new baby project. I include the baby's name, weight, date and time of birth a well as the sentiment to the parents.

Candle Christmas Card

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with red card and then white embossed card. I embossed the white card with a Crafts Too embossing folder. I die cut the trellis circle using a Tonic die. I die cut the candles using a Marianne die. I die cut the holly flourish using a Cheery Lynn die and the poinsettia using Marianne dies. I assembled all the elements onto my card. I added flat backed pearl embellishments and Tonic Nuvo drops to complete my card.

Tree Decoration

This is the final tree decoration for the set of three for my Mother-in-law's Christmas tree

I have covered my MDF bauble with Kanban patterned paper. I added the tiny pom poms around the edge. I die cut the snowflakes using a Cheery Lynn die in turquoise card. I then cut the poinsettia using a Tattered Lace die and the star spray using a Sue Wilson die. I completed my bauble with a flat backed pearl embellishment.

Ice Hockey birthday card

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with red then white card, on the white card I have printed a sentiment.  I have added white embossed card on the bottom of my card. I embossed using a Crafts Too embossing folder. I added satin ribbon where the embossed card meets the plain card. I printed an image of an ice hockey player and die cut it with a Xcut  scalloped circle die. I used the next size in  the nesting set to cut a red scalloped circle and attached the die cut image to that. I die cut a small circle and added the numbers that I cut with Tattered Lace dies. I die cut the skates using Joy die. I completed my card with flat backed embellishments.

Light up tree decoration

I have used a template from Simply Cards and papercraft to make this tealight birdhouse. I have used patterned paper from a Trimcraft Gilded Winter 12x12in paper pad. . I used a Xcut scalloped circle die to cut the window. I die cut poinsettia with Tattered Lace dies and star sprays with a Sue Wilson die. I added berries, ribbon and flat backed pearl embellishments. Finally I added a battery operated tea light.

Poinsettia gift tag

A gift tag to match the colour scheme of the tree decorations. 

I have used a Die Sire Create a Card nesting die set. Because the die set is designed to make cards the one side doesn't cut but that is easy to solve I have just cut that side with a guillotine. I have used kraft card to cut the first layer and then parchment card for the next layer. I then die cut the poinsettia with a Marianne die and the sentiment with a Tonic Studios. I inked the edges of  all my elements before assembling my gift tag. I added some embellishments from my stash to complete my tag.

Merry and Bright Tree Decoration

I have used a MDF bauble and covered it with embossed white card. I embossed the white card with a Crafts Too embossing folder. I filed the edges with a nail file. I attached tiny pom poms around the edge of the bauble and then added the pearls on a string around the edge of the front and back. I die cut the sentiment in turquoise card and attached that to the front. I die cut the poinsettia using a Marianne die and the stars sprays with a Sue Wilson die. and then assembled them on my bauble. I completed my bauble with a flat backed pearl and ribbon

Niece 13th birthday card

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with purple card and white embossed card. I embossed the white card with a Crafts Too embossing folder. I attached self adhesive crochet ribbon across the centre of my card, I have printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with an element from a Sue Wilson die set, I die cut the other elements in purple and white and then assembled before adding to my card. I have stamped a Julie Nutting doll stamp. I have used spotty card from Anna Marie. I used Presscut oval dies, Sue Wilson die for the Niece sentiment and Tattered Lace dies for the numbers. I completed my card with Tonic Nuvo drops

13th Birthday Card

A 8x8in white card cover with gingham card from Anna Marie. I have printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Go Kreate die and then used the next size die in the nesting set to cut a purple circle to layer the sentiment. I have die cut the hedgehog using a Tonic Studios die and the balloons are cut using a die from the Tonic Studios rabbit die set. I completed my card with the numbers cut with Tattered Lace dies.

Tree Decoration

This is a tree decoration I have made for my Mother-in-law. I have made this in her colour scheme. I  have a MDF bauble and covered it with turquoise paper. I added tiny pom poms around the edge of the bauble and then attached the pearls on a string  around the edge of the front and back. I die cut the sentiment using a Dovecraft die in white card and attached that to my bauble. I die cut the poinsettia using a Tattered Lace die in white card. I shaped the layers and attached two layers together then added a pearl embellishment. I made three of the poinsettia and added them to my bauble. I then die cut the star spray using a Sue Wilson die in turquoise card and cut it into sections before adding it to my bauble between the poinsettia. I completed my bauble by adding organza ribbon to hang it from the tree.

Another card for the rugby player

I have covered my 8x8in white card with gingham card from Anna Marie. I have printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Go Kreate circle die and added it to my card. I then added the image from a Hunkydory little book. I die cut the boots using a Tonic die, I die cut the boots in black and then white. I used the black outline and paper pieced with the white elements. I completed my card with stars that I cut with a punch.

Grandson rugby card

My mother-in-law asked for a card for her grandson. He has just got into the district rugby squad. I have printed a picture of the badge for the rugby team. I have matt and layered the badge onto white and black card. I matt and layered an 8x8in white card with black then white card, I printed a personalised sentiment on the white card. I added some white and silver card with stars before adding the badge. I added the numbers that I cut with marianne dies onto a fancy square that I cut with a die from a nesting set from "The Works" and then attached them to my card. I die cut the cup with a Marianne die

Lion Birthday Card

This card is for my DT post over at craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper.

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with brown card and then three strips of animal print card. I picked up this paper in a pack from "Instore" in the childrens craft section.

I die cut the lion using a Tonic die. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Presscut oval die from a nesting set. I used the next two sizes in the set to cut a brown oval and a tan oval to mount the sentiment before attaching to my card. I then attached my lion
