On your special day card

An easel card made with a Tonic header die. I have folded the top of the card and die cut the header die into the centre of the fold. I have matt and layered the top and bottom of the card with purple and white embossed card. I embossed the white card with a Sue Wilson embossing folder. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Sizzix scalloped heart die. I die cut the ornate heart in white and purple with a Spellbinders die. I die cut a large purple heart using a Sizzix die and added the sentiment which I cut with a Phil Martin die. I die cut the couple using a Cheery Lynn die.

Wedding card

This is an 8x8in easel card. I have matt and layered the top and bottom with purple and white card.  I have die cut the valance, trellis with Cheery Lynn dies in purple card. I have also cut the trellis in navy and slightly offset the the two trellis when I stuck them down. The colours I have used are the colour scheme of the wedding. I have used a Cheery Lynn couple die for the bride and cut her off and used a Britannia die to cut the groom in a kilt, which is the dress code for the male members of the bridal party. I assembled the top of the card. I printed a sentiment for the bottom of the card and die cut it with a Sizzix die. I cut the flourish with a Cheery Lynn die. I completed the card with Tonic Studios Nuvo Drops.

Fishing Birthday Card

I had to have a break from the Christmas cards today. I have had a request for a card for a fisherman.

The Hunky Dory Little Books are great when I am asked to make something for a specific hobby.

I have covered my 8x8in white card with tan card. I have used some ribbon from my stash before adding the image which I layered on black card. I die cut the sentiment with a Tonic die. I completed the card with buttons from my stash.

Nativity Christmas Card

Every Christmas I personalise the majority of my cards. I make my cards with the space for personalisation which I add at a later date. I have matt and layered a white 8x8in card with brown pearlised card and white embossed card. I have embossed the white card with a Sue Wilson beaded fanfare embossing folder. I have die cut my nativity scene in brown pearlised card using Britannia Dies. I have cut scalloped ovals using Go Kreate dies. There will be a personalised sentiment on the white oval when I have decided on the recipient.

Snow globe Christmas Card

I have made this card using the Sue Wilson Snowglobe and Cottage Snow Globe Scene die. I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with blue, silver and then white card. I have used embossed white card on the bottom, I embossed the white card using the Creative Expressions snowflake lattice folder. On the join of the white card I have used self adhesive lace ribbon from my stash. I cut the snow globe in silver. I cut the bottom of the snow globe in green and carefully used the negative pieces to fill the holly. I have cut the "Merry Christmas" sentiment in blue and silver card and slightly offset them when sticking them down

Heart card

I have been away, so no posts for a while but back to it now especially as I have a few requests too. Here is the first. This Tattered Lace heart is always popular. I have used a lovely soft pink coloured card. I matt and layered a white 8x8in white card with pink and then white card. The bottom of the card has been covered with white card that has been embossed with Tattered Lace embossing folders. I have embellished my card with satin ribbon and flat backed pearls

Son 13th birthday card

My son adores our new puppy. I thought using this photo was very apt, we went to the beach for the first time on the weekend and they both enjoyed every minute. 

I have used a 8x8in white card and matt and layered it with tan card and white embossed card. I have embossed the white card with an Embossalicious folder. I printed the photograph and layered it on brown card. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Tonic rectangle from a nesting set.  I die cut tan card with the next size in the nesting set. The numbers and today are cut using Tattered Lace dies. I assembled my card then completed with stars that I have cut using a punch.

Drummer birthday card

My baby becomes a teenager today, where have all the years gone!! Here is the card I made for his grandparents to give him.

I have used a 8x8in white card and covered it with red card. I have embossed white card with an Embossalicious folder. I have highlighted the detail with gilding wax. I have used an image from a Hunky Dory little book. I have cut the 13 in tan card and red card using Marianne dies. I offset them when sticking them together. I stuck them to a scalloped circle, cut using an Xcut die. I have printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Presscut oval die  and die cut the next size in tan to layer the sentiment.

Teacher thank you card

This is an A4 card. I have used a Tattered Lace Essential book die to make the front. I have cut the pages in red and white alternatively. I have embossed the white pages with an Embossalicious embossing folder. I have printed personalised sentiments and die cut them with Go Kreate scalloped oval dies. I cut the next size in the nesting set of scalloped ovals in red to layer the sentiments. I die cut the Best Wishes using a Cheery Lynn die and glued that to the bookmark and also decorated this with ribbon. I used various flowers from my stash and a handmade stick pin. I completed my card with Tonic Nuvo drops.

Joy to the world Christmas card

Watching the television has inspired me to continue with my Christmas card. I have made a simple one today. I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with red and white embossed card. I have embossed the white card with a Crafts Too embossing folder. I have die cut the Sue Wilson "Joy to the World" die in red and glued it to white card. I stuck this onto my card at an angle. I completed my card with flat backed pearls.

Rugby birthday card

The Hunky Dory pads are great for mens cards especially when they have a specific hobby. My son wanted a card made quickly for a school friend who plays rugby. I have used a 8x8in white and covered it with tan card. I used a strip of Anna Marie gingham card then added the rugby topper. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a Presscut die and die cut the next size in the set in green to layer the sentiment. I have completed my card with buttons from my stash.
