Personalised Advent Calendar

 

This is my DT project for craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper

I have made an advent calendar using the Crafters Companion double sided triangle box dies.

There are videos online for guidance on making an advent calendar like this.

I have used a sheet of 12x12in white and covered it will patterned paper.

I have added the boxes to this background in the shape of a large triangle. I have added the numbers which I cut with Crafters Companion dies. I punched a small hole in box lid and added some satin ribbon with a knot behind the lid. I added hot glue to the knots to avoid any chance of the knot coming through the hole when the box is opened. 

I scored strips of card to cover the edges of the assembled boxes for a neater finish. I also added satin ribbon around the boxes.  

I die cut a star with a Tonic die several times and glued them together before adding to my calendar.  

I completed my advent calendar with a personalised sentiment which I die cut with a Spellbinders nesting die set
