Parchment 3D Christmas Tree

I have used a Groovi board to make this Christmas tree. The instructions are on the board which is a clever idea. After assembling the tree I added a battery operated tealight. I am pleased with my first attempt. I can't wait to try again and learn from my mistakes.

Boat Card for a Thank You

I made this card for a lovely couple who very kindly allowed my family to use their beautiful caravan last weekend.

The Hunkydory books came in useful again. I found this image which was perfect.

I made an 8x8in white easel card. I mounted the image onto blue card. I die cut the valance using a Cheery Lynn die. I matt and layered the top of the card with navy and then white card. I then attached the two valances and then added the image. I matt and layered the base with navy and white card to matt the top. I die cut the elements on the bottom using Spellbinders Nesting dies. I then cut the sentiment using a Cheery Lynn die. Unfortunately I didn't have a thank you die and I had run out of ink so "Best Wishes" had to do. I die cut the little boat with a die from a Sue Wilson baby set. I attached this element to the base of my card with foam pads so it will act as the stopper for the easel.

Cute girly card

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with pink card and then green and white gingham card.

I distressed and inked these layers before attaching them to my card. I attached ribbon and hessian across my card. I have die cut the ornate shape with a Joy die and attached it to my card and then added my Hobbyhouse image to it. I added flowers, buds, moss and pearl strands to my card using hot glue. I die cut the sentiment with a Cheery Lynn die and added to the white shape that I cut with a Spellbinders die. I die cut the flourishes with a Cheery Lynn die and then attached these elements to my card. I completed my card with flat backed pearls

Wreath Christmas Card

This is my card for the challenge over at movingalongwiththetimes

Some of my family love flowers, so I have made this card with them in mind.

I have covered my 8x8in white card with green embossed card. I used a holly embossing folder.
I die cut oval using dies from a Presscut nesting set. I added the die cut sentiment to the ovals and then attached it to my card.

I used various supplies from my local artificial floral supplier. I have bought similar elements from craft shops in the past but they are so much cheaper if you can find a similar supplier where you live.

I attached these to the wreath using hot glue and then the wreath to my card with hot glue.  I completed my card by using Tonic Nuvo drops for the "berries" on the embossed background.

Motorcycle Birthday Card

The image from a Hunkydory little book has helped to make a basic last minute card again.

They have been useful so many times particularly for men's cards.

I have simply matt and layered my 8x8in card with red card and then added Creative Expressions ribbon down the card. I matt and layered the image with red, green and kraft card and then attached it to my card. I printed a sentiment and die cut it with an oval die from a Presscut nesting set. I also cut red and green ovals to mount my sentiment before adding it to my card. I completed my card with some stars that I cut with a punch.

Pretty Box

I have used the Tonic Kaleidoscope dies to create this box. This box is very similar to a sample that was on Hochanda. I loved it so thought I would have a go. I'm very pleased with the results.

The dies are very easy to use. There are lots of videos on you tube to help you with this.

Engagement Card

I have made this personalised engagement card for my neighbours. They got engaged while on holidays.

I matt and layered my 8x8in white card with silver mirror card and then white embossed card. I embossed the white card with a Tattered Lace embossing folder. I attached ribbon across my card and that attached some lace and pearl embellishment through the centre of the ribbon. I used a nesting set of dies from The Works and firstly die cut the larger size in the silver mirror card. I die cut the flourishes with Cheery Lynn large and small dies. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with the next size in the nesting set. I attached the flourishes around the sentiment. I attached the larger flourish on the ribbon before adding the other embellishments with my glue gun. I have added flowers then pearls on string and pearl pins between the flowers.

Work in progress

Todays post is work in progress. I am making an exploding box for a new baby girl

Gift Bag

This is  my creation for my DT post over at craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper.

I have never made much other than cards for Christmas but I have started a lot earlier this year so I decided to make a few other things. I am using up some of my stash that I have had for a long time too. I am making items that match family and friends Christmas colour schemes so they will look nice under their tree.

I have bought some kraft paper bags in £ shop. and covered them with paper from a Kanban set. I added a poinsettia that also came in to the set. I die cut the tag using a Sue Wilson die and added the sentiment.
