First ever New Year Card

 

This is the first New Year card I have made. 

I have matt and layered my A5 card with red and black & white polka dot card. I die cut the numbers with a Tonic die. I added the numbers to the scalloped circles which I cut with a Spellbinders die. I have added the circles diagonally across my card. I added the die cut celebrate which I cut with a Crafters Companion die set.

1st Christmas Tree Decoration

 

This decoration is always popular. I have covered an MDF bauble with spotty card. I added the small pom poms around on the edge. I attached the heart trim around the front and back. I die cut the gingerbread girl with a Cheery Lynn die. I cut it in Kraft card and added coloured card behind the eyes and buttons before attaching it to my bauble. The sentiment is cut with die from The Works and the number is cut with a Tattered Lace die

Christmas Tree Decoration for Beauty Salon

 

My young niece is celebrating her first Christmas in her new salon. I made this for her salon Christmas tree. I printed a picture of her salon logo and added it to the MDF bauble. I die cut the "Christmas at" in pink card and added that to the bauble I added the heart trim around the bauble and completed it with satin ribbon

Stepper Christmas Card

 

I have made my card blank using a Presscut die set. I cut the card blank in white card and cut the panels in gold card. I die cut the bauble elements with a Spellbinders nesting set. I embossed all the baubles. I assembled the nesting  baubles together. I added satin ribbon and Tonic Nuvo drops. I cut the sentiment using a Sue Wilson die

Christmas greetings card

Memories Christmas Card

 

I wanted to make a special card for my best friends lovely Mam. It's her first Christmas without her beloved Husband.

I have used a Tattered Lace die set to make the book design. I cut the layers in white card and red mirror card. I curved the layers with a rolling pin before assembling them. I have used a page from a Hunkydory book for the top layer. I die cut the page with a die from the set to add to my creation. I added the book mark element down the centre of the book design and added the sentiment which I cut with a Sue Wilson die. I printed a sentiment and die cut it with a die from a nesting set from The Works. I added it to a red shape cut with the next size in the nesting set before adding it to my card. I die cut the poinsettia using a Tattered Lace die set and added them to my card. I attached the assembled book design to an A4 card. I made a box using my score board. I covered the top of the box with red card and then white embossed card. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a scalloped circle die from a Xcut nesting set and added it to a red scalloped circle before attaching it to the lid of my box. I completed the box with satin ribbon around the outside of the lid of my box and a satin bow.

Gingerbread house exploding box

 

I have used a Crafters Companion Exploding box die set to cut the elements in white card. I matt and layered the panels with kraft card and polka dot card. I printed personalised sentiments and cut them with dies from a nesting set from The Works. I die cut the other sentiments with Sue Wilson dies in kraft card and white card and attached them creating s drop shadow. I die cut the gingerbread house with a Tonic die set in kraft card with white and red elements. I added snowflakes which I cut with a Cheery Lyn die. I added satin ribbon around the box lid to complete the creation.

Niece Christmas Card

I have used a Crafters Companion Edge'able die to make this creation. I have made an A5 Z Fold card. I added blue and white dotty card to all the panels and then added the Edge'able detail. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a die from a Spellbinders set and mounted it onto spotty card cut with the next size in the nesting set before adding it to my card.

Robin Christmas Card

 

I have used a crystal art card from The Range to make the main element for this card. I trimmed the card and then mounted the design onto green card. I have matt and layered an A4 card with red card and white embossed card. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a die from a Spellbinders nesting set. I used the next size in the nesting set to cut green card to mount my sentiment. I attached the image and the sentiment to my card. I die cut the poinsettia with dies from a Tattered Lace set. I completed my card with flat backed pearls and Tonic Nuvo drops.

Warm winter wishes card

 

I have used a 6x6in white scalloped edge card. I cut the detail into the front of the card with a Gemini Edge'able die. I have also cut the detail in gold to act as a drop shadow. I added patterned across the bottom on the outside and inside of the front of the card along with the patterned paper on the inside. I completed the card with satin ribbon across the card and a bow.

Our family to yours Christmas Card

 

I have made this easel card for friends that go back a long way and their family.

I have covered the top and bottom of my card with patterned paper from my stash. I die cut the baubles with a Spellbinders nesting set in red mirror card and cream card. I added the satin ribbon and bows on the top of the baubles. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a die from a Spellbinders nesting set. I used the next size in the nesting to cut a red mirror card shape to mount the sentiment before attaching it to my card. I have used a Gemini Edge'ables die to cut the element for the base of my card in red mirror card. I paper pieced the sentiment with gold mirror card. I attached a strip of cream card across the base of my card. I used foam pads to attach the strip so it will act as a stopper for the easel. I added satin ribbon and a bow to complete my card.

50th Birthday Card

 

My husband wanted a card made for his mates 50th Birthday.  My husband had to have something added to the card to tease him. I covered my white 8x8in card with kraft card. I used a page from a Hunkydory 

book and mounted it onto dark blue card before attaching it to my card blank. I die cut the age element with Tonic dies in kraft card and dark blue card. I printed a personalised sentiment and die cut it with a die from a Spellbinders nesting set. I added the sentiment and the age elements to the card. I completed the card with dark blue stars which I cut with a punch.

I have matt and layered the cream DL  card with red card and then patterned card. I added a strip of cream card across my card and then added satin ribbon. I die cut the sentiment with a Sue Wilson die and added it to the die cut ovals which I cut with Presscut oval nesting die set. I added the die cut Poinsettia that I cut with a Tattered Lace die.

I cut the strips in gold mirror card using Crafters Companion dies. I used red card to add behind the die cut elements. I attached the die cut elements to my card and then added satin ribbon. I die cut the sentiment with a Sue Wilson die and attached it to ovals cut the dies from a Presscut nesting set. I completed my card with Tonic Nuvo drops.

Snowflake Kisses Christmas Card

 

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with blue glitter card and then polka die card.

I have added a strip of glitter card across my card blank and then added satin ribbon and bow.

I stamped a Connie Fong image and coloured it. I die cut the image with a Presscut oval die from a nesting set and cut a blue oval with the next size die in the nesting set to mount the image before adding it to my card. I stamped and die cut the sentiment with items from a Lisa Horton set.

JOY Christmas Card

 

A quick and easy card. I matt and layered my cream DL card with gold and then cream card. I die cut the aperture element using a Sue Wilson die in red mirror card and added it to my card with foam pads. I die cut the JOY also with a Sue Wilson die set, I added the letters in the apertures. I completed the card with die cut holly and red gems.

Holly Christmas Card

 

I have matt and layered my 8x8in cream card with red and green mirror card and then cream embossed card. 

I used a Crafters Companion create a card with interchangeable sentiment die to make the decorative element. I cut the fancy element in cream card and mounted it onto green mirror card so the holly is green. I die cut the sentiment in red mirror card and added it to cream card and then red mirror card before attaching that to the centre of the design. I cut the holly  on the sentiment again in green card to add to the element. I paper pieced the bow element with red card. I completed my card with red tonic nuvo drops on the create a card element and red gems on the embossed card on the berries of the design.

Joy Christmas Card

 

I have matt and layered my cream DL card with red mirror card and patterned paper from my stash.

I die cut the joy element using a Sue Wilson die set. I cut the detail in red mirror card and the background in cream card. I die cut the sentiment and banners using Sue Wilson dies. I cut the sentiment and larger banner in red mirror card and the small banner in cream. I assembled these elements before attaching them to my card.

Personalised Advent Calendar

 

This is my DT project for craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper

I have made an advent calendar using the Crafters Companion double sided triangle box dies.

There are videos online for guidance on making an advent calendar like this.

I have used a sheet of 12x12in white and covered it will patterned paper.

I have added the boxes to this background in the shape of a large triangle. I have added the numbers which I cut with Crafters Companion dies. I punched a small hole in box lid and added some satin ribbon with a knot behind the lid. I added hot glue to the knots to avoid any chance of the knot coming through the hole when the box is opened. 

I scored strips of card to cover the edges of the assembled boxes for a neater finish. I also added satin ribbon around the boxes.  

I die cut a star with a Tonic die several times and glued them together before adding to my calendar.  

I completed my advent calendar with a personalised sentiment which I die cut with a Spellbinders nesting die set

Reindeer Christmas Card

 

I have been busy making Christmas cards. Whenever I think my Christmas cards are nearly done one of my sons or husband ask me to make more. My son asked for 10 cards last night!

I have matt and layered my 8x8in card with red card and then patterned paper from my stash.

I made the reindeer using elements from the Lisa Horton sheep die,  a Cheery Lynn branch die and a small circle die from a nesting set. I used a stamp and die from a Lisa Horton set for the sentiment.

Birthday Card

 

I have matt and layered my 8x8in white card with black card and then pink embossed card. 

I die cut the heart element  in black and red card and assembled them before attaching it to my card using foam pads. I printed a sentiment and die cut it with a Sue Wilson banner die. I completed my card with lots of  Tonic Nuvo drops.

Teddy Exploding Box

 

Christmas tree decorations are the perfect size for in the inside of an exploding box.

I have made the exploding box using cream card and my score board. I added various die cut embellishments which I cut with Kraft card. 

I used a corners punch on all corners. I added the teddy into the centre with hot glue.
